As you probably saw in a previous post, Kevin recently spoke at the 6th Annual Employee Benefit Adviser Summit in Dallas, TX. His message was about making changes in the broker model due to current and coming industry challenges.

Brian Kalish, with Employee Benefit Adviser, attended Kevin’s session and wrote up a great synopsis of the message. Follow the link below to read the full article.

Advisers must move ‘faster and stronger’

DALLAS – It is time for brokers and consultants to face the much talked-about upcoming challenges head on and move forward “first, faster and stronger” than their competitors. The goal is to make clients understand that the cost of doing nothing might be the “most expensive, more detrimental thing to a business,” a former adviser said Monday.

    Hi Bill

I couldn't agree more. We are seeing some of the greatest opportunities ever seen by benefits producers. However, in many cases, the opportunities also look different than ever before and also require those same producers to bring value in ways they may not have done in the past.

If a producer/agency isn't able to deliver that new value proposition, they may find the opportunities to be new types of challenges.

All is well, I hope the same for you. Thanks for stopping by!

In reality, the benefits arena has so many moving parts right now it has created an incredible opportunity for the brokers who are pro-active in embracing the change.

I'm primarily a P&C guy, but it has been so much easier to get an audience on the benefits side these days. It's very similar to the workers comp arena 10 years ago.

Now is time to strike while the iron is hot so they say.

Hope all is well and thanks for sharing.
